Yes, we will provide the same carer for all visits so we can provide continuity of care from the start of the care package.
We will inform you straight away and another carer will visit you. We will try to keep this to a minimum of care staff so the same staff visits you when somebody is off sick.
This will depend on whether you are able to manage or have a family member living with you. If not, we will always try our best to get to you even if the call is going to be late. We will inform you and give you an estimated time of arrival.
This depends on your care package, usually no more than four if you have 4 calls a day. No More than two if you only have 2 calls a day. If the care you require is for Social activity then you would have the same carer every week.
Yes, they have a 3-month probationary period. We book our new starters onto a thorough 5-day induction which covers all mandatory training for a carer.
Once this is completed we do an office-based induction, then arrange for the staff to shadow our experienced carers over two days, where their work will be observed and the senior carer will fill in a shadowing evaluation form.
Once we are satisfied with the outcome, we then proceed to give them a rota.
Our new starters also complete their Care Certificate online over 12 weeks.
Training is updated on a regular basis.
Our staff is trained over 12 weeks to qualify for the care certificate and we aim to sign all staff up for Health & Social Care NVQ level 2 and 3 as well as any specialist courses such as Dementia training, End of life, Peg feed, Mental health, Autism, and learning disability. The specialist training will depend on the care package.
These are recorded for every call that we deliver. Our staff type up the notes on our state-of-the-art system which also has a mobile application for the carers to use. We audit the written records on a daily basis.
Yes, we can send you copies of any notes or records.
