As a member of the Right Care team, you will play an important role in the lives of our service users, helping them to continue living in the comfort of their own homes. Whether living in the service user’s home with them or providing visiting support as needed, our carers support adults with a variety of health conditions.

As a Right Care Support Worker,

  • Mileage is paid for all work travel in your personal vehicle

Principal Responsibilities

  • To promote Person Centred Care.
  • To respect and enable Service Users choices and decisions which are at the centre of their care, treatment
    or support.
  • To recognise and enable the diversity, values, dignity and human rights of people who they provide
    support to.
  • To assist Service Users with Personal Care, who may need help with getting up in the morning, dressing,
    undressing, washing, bathing and the toilet.
  • To help Service Users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence and
    help in the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • To care for Service Users who are temporarily sick and needing, for example bed nursing, help with
    feeding, etc.
  • To help care for Service Users who are dying in a dignified and respectful manner.
  • To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of Service Users through talking to them, taking
    them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
  • To make and change beds; tidy rooms; do light cleaning and empty commodes.
  • To inspect and launder Service Users’ clothing.
  • To set tables and trays; serve meals; feed Service Users who need help; prepare light meals and wash up;
    tidy and clear the dining and kitchen areas.
  • To answer, if requested to do so, the door and the telephone and greet visitors.
  • To read and write reports, and take part in staff and Service Users’ meetings and in training activities as
    directed.
  • To perform such other duties as may reasonably be required.
  • To comply with Right Care NW Ltd’s guidelines and policies at all times.
  • To report to the Company’s Registered Manager/Supervisor any significant changes in the health or
    circumstances of a Service User.
  • To encourage Service Users to remain as independent as possible.
